Services

Enhancing Communication, LLC offers a variety of individualized services to address a wide range of needs.

Screenings

Speech, Language or Myofunctional screenings are $30
Academic screenings are $50
Screenings are ideal for determining if your child is displaying the developmental skills needed for speech/language or academics and help determine if a formal evaluation is needed.

Evaluations

Comprehensive speech, language, and/or chewing/swallowing (myofunctional) evaluations are available to identify if there are any areas of need that could be addressed with formal speech, language, and/or orofacial myofunctional therapy services. Currently, an evaluation is $375 and all findings are discussed with the client/family.

Therapy Services

Speech, language and orofacial myofunctional therapy sessions are provided by an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist. Services can address current speech therapy goals and objectives from a school's current Individualized Education Program (IEP) or current treatment plan or from the evaluation findings completed in the office.

Academic intervention and tutoring sessions are provided by a licensed and experienced Intervention Specialist with certification in dyslexia interventions and experience with executive functioning skills. Academic interventions address IEP goals while tutoring is for supporting skills that may be weaker or are more difficult to master for a child and are without a current IEP in place.

Enhancing Communication is also an Approved Provider through the Jon Peterson Special Needs Scholarship. To learn more about eligibility, applying, or availability of services, please call (567)-218-0518. The scholarship funding can be used for speech therapy, academic intervention and tutoring services in our office.

Description of Therapy Services

Speech therapy sessions are offered at 30, 45 and 60-minute time slots. The current rates for these sessions are $75 for 30-minutes, $110 for 45-minutes and $150 for 60-minutes for each session.

Academic services addressing IEP/ISP goals and providing academic intervention services are 60-minutes in length and are $110 for each session with tutoring being 30-minute sessions for $60 each. The frequency of sessions varies depending on the number of skills being addressed (i.e. one time per week for addressing math, two times per week for math and reading, etc.).

Parent/guardian education is a very important part of our sessions. It gives parents and guardians the knowledge and tools to provide more opportunities to practice skills outside of the office. Either during or at the end of sessions, the therapist or intervention specialist will speak with the parent/guardian to show how to address skills at home for greater carryover of skills and improve overall progress being made. This time allows for the parent/guardian to ask specific questions, watch specific strategies demonstrated, and allow the parent(s)/guardian(s) to practice strategies while receiving feedback.

Payment for Services:

*Our services are Private Pay (self-pay) only. We accept debit/credit and can process HSA and FSA cards.

We also accept payments through other sources such as the Jon Peterson Special Needs Scholarship.

Parents/guardians may be able to receive reimbursement from their insurance (through Out-of-Network) with the use of Super bills. Super bills are a detailed medical receipt that can be sent to insurances for possible reimbursement. Please call or email Enhancing Communication, LLC with any questions.

The reason why Enhancing Communication, LLC only accepts private-pay is to ensure that therapy can begin right away (no pre-authorization needed and hence, very little to no wait time to begin services), services are provided one-on-one, services are based upon the client’s need (not just based upon academic impact such as in the school setting), the number of sessions is not determined by an outside organization (i.e. insurance company), and collaboration with a client’s school speech pathologist, specialists/other professionals, and family members can easily occur.
